Every year there is a dental education meeting organized by the European Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
It is one of Europe’s most significant event, where the educational experiences and knowledge of the different European countries are shared with the participants.
This year, the event was held in Norway, at the Faculty of Dentistry, in the University of Oslo, from 22th of August until 24th of August, 2018. The Dental specialists of Europe participated on the meeting, and presented the latest research results and tools.
In the representation of the University of Szeged, Dr. Zoltán Baráth, the dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged, and Professor Katalin Nagy, Head of the Department of Oral Surgery at the University of Szeged attended at the meeting, who is also the organizer and moderator of the already estabilished European Dean’s meeting and training.
Several programs have been devoted to negotiating the development of education, including the Forum of European Heads and Deans of Dental Shools (FEHDD), which is an opportunity for exchange experiences and learn good practices of each country. The theme of the meeting was to develop the leadership competence of dentistry faculties and to develop a 3 year future program for the FEHDD meeting.
The university leaders strive to keep in touch and to exchange experiences in the period between annual events.
