International students are satisfied with University of Szeged, proving that the Institution has received ‘Very good International Student Satisfaction Award’ this year by StudyPortal, the International Study Choice platform. The honourable recognition was divided on the basis of the international students' opinion.

Among the Hungarian universities the University of Szeged has a prestigious position in the QS World University Rankings 2016/2017. Being listed among the top 501-550 best universities the University of Szeged is included in the top 13% of the HE institutions evaluated.

QS University rankings EECA 2016 (the higher educational institutions of Emerging Europe and Central Asia) lists the University of Szeged as the 15^th best university. According to the ranking, SZTE is one of the top 10% universities of the region and that the University of Szeged is also the best out of the four Hungarian universities listed among the top 30.

The International Cultural Evening (ICE) was organized by the International Student Union of Szeged on April 16, 2016. The show included various dance and music performances, and food to sample from different countries and workshops.

On the updated list of scientific fields of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) the University of Szeged appears amongst the world’s most elite universities with 7 disciplines out of 42.
